The Nelson Mandela Capture Site is closed for the period of the 21 day national lockdown.
We would like to wish all South Africans a safe period of isolation and urge all citizens to follow the measures implemented by the government.

Allow one to two hours to visit the site

Ticket prices for Visitor Centre and Sculpture

Young Adults 12 - 18 R30
Adults 18 - 60 R100

Scholars and Teachers R40
Guided Tours R10 per person
*School Tours and Guided Tours over 15 people to book in advance.
Payments can be made by credit card and Zapper.
Schools from Quintile 1,2,3 - No Charge
Schools from Quintile 4 - 50% discount
Schools from Quintile 5 - No discount
SASSA / Grant Holder - No Charge with proof of card.
Monday - Free to all South Africans with a SA ID card / book.
Please book in advance for groups over 15 people.
The Nelson Mandela Capture Site is developing an education program which will be implemented in mid 2020. Please enquire about the education program when booking a school tour.

Take the N3 highway to Durban / Johannesburg.
Outside of Howick, take the Tweedie turnoff to Lions River. Turn right onto the R103.
The NMCS is 5 minutes from the N3 turnoff and is well signposted.
